In Stowmarket, next to the ASDA car park, there is the East Anglian Museum of Rural Life.
Lavenham is world famous for its timber framed buildings and halls as well as food and accommodation at the Swan Hotel.
Further afield in Norfolk is the Mid Norfolk Railway running between Dereham and Wymondham (Windam), and the Bure Valley Railway which runs between Aylesham and Wroxham where broads boat trips can also be enjoyed.
And along the north coast of Norfolk is the North Norfolk Railway ad the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway.
Throughout Norfolk and Suffolk there are numerous airfield museums and control towers to visit as well as static displays. Local to our area is Flixton Aviation Museum located in the delightful Waveney Valley on the B1062 at Flixton near Bungay.
Castles and churches dominate the area with some excellent examples on the east coast at Blythburgh and Orford as well as others at Lavenham, Eye, Bury St Edmunds, and Framlingham.
Windmills and watermills are to be found throughout the area with Billingford Mill, Blo Norton and Saxted Green being easy to locate.
And last of all on the A11 near Harling, Norfolk, there is the Snetterton Race circuit, Sunday market and model shop!
