What to see

At the moment we are able to give guided walks along sections of the original railway where public footpaths exist.
Much of the original trackbed has been removed and returned to farming but there are visible remains in the landscape where fencing and gateposts were left in place following the removal of the track and buildings. It is these remains that have enabled us to determine the width of the line between its fences and the precise route of the line.
We still have much to do in the way of investigations of the track, but we have walked virtually all of the line between Haughley and Kenton, and the recording of any original items left in place has been completed. East of Kenton to Cratfield still needs to be surveyed.
If you want to help our recording and investigation of the lines route then become a Volunteer on The Middy Branch Line with CS Rail.
